The new Hangar 9 P-47 Thunderbolt has exceptional scale realism and a great flight performance.

The ‘razorback’  Thunderbolt is a well-done representation of the rugged Republic P-47  which was the largest and heaviest single-engine aircraft of WW II.

P-47D coded T9+LK was recaptured by US troops in Gottingen in 1944 when the Germans were forced to make a rapid withdrawal to Bad Worlshofen. The Germans had to leave T9+LK behind because of mechanical problems. T9+LK may have been the Luftwaffe P-47 which flew several reconnaissance missions over England just before the D-Day invasion.
